Wedding Week: The Venues, The Reception

Welcome to wedding week! My husband and I just celebrated our third anniversary. I wanted a reason to go back through all the photos and my wedding notebook. Enjoy! PS - All photos by ABJ Photography.

After looking at tons of reception site options in Greenville, we were so pumped to find an art gallery / event space that used to be a trailer hitch factory back in the day - Zen Greenville. It was just about to open (at the time) and we jumped at the opportunity to book it before it was even finished being refurbished. Exposed beam ceilings, concrete floors, modern fixtures and accents, and lots of big windows. I just thought it was a cool space and my Mom knew it was perfect.

There were two rooms and a patio, the main room (above) was plenty big enough for lots of tables and chairs and a dance floor. The front room (below) was more of a the cocktail hour feel with a big bar, tall tables, and art displayed on the walls.

We rented some funky modern furniture and bright pillows from the fabulous Mayme Baker Studio to create little vignettes for guests to sit and chat.

The patio was pretty hot (it was August 1st, after all) but it was a gorgeous outdoor area. More on that later. :)
